Upcoming events
I will attend the Biennial Parcours-Danse wich will be held in Montreal, this November 25 -29, 2019.
Just a word to say that I’d be very happy to meet with you at the Parcours Danse Biennial event.
As an agent specializing in dance for young people, I’m excited that the Forum on Dance for Young Audiences in Canada, an initiative of the Alliance of Canadian Dance Networks (ACDN), will be part of this event. To take advantage of the occasion, I invite you to discover two companies who will showcase new works: Créations Estelle Clareton with Paper Landscape (full version) and PPS Danse with The Treasure (conference-demonstration).
I look forward to meeting you, and to presenting the work of those two dynamic companies that have charmed audiences in Quebec, Europe and Canada : PPS Danse and Créations Estelle Clareton.
Paper Landscapes | Créations Estelle Clareton
2019 | 50min | Official selection
1:30 and 3:30pm | Maison de la culture Claude-Léveillée
A work teeming with imagination for age four and up, Paper Landscapes features three performers and a huge sheet of paper. At the centre of a delicate dance, human bodies mesh with the paper, which, folded, crumpled, and torn, brings out the dancers' fears, desires, and dreams. The work celebrates the capacity of the imagination, the pleasure of being together, and the importance of taking time to feel things. It invites the children to open up to the other by transporting them into dreamlike worlds where amusing characters interact.
Premiere : Maison de la culture de Notre-Dame-de-Grâce, September 28, 2019.
Conference-presentation : The Treasure | PPS Danse
2020 | 59min | Official selection
1:30 and 3:30 pm | ÉDIFICE WILDER - Espace danse | Espace Paul-André Fortier
In The Treasure, songs by Gilles Vigneault, Claude Léveillée, Félix Leclerc, and La Bolduc intertwine with compositions by Alexandre Désilets, Alexis Dumais, and Lise Vaillancourt (lyrics) to make up the canvas of a choreography that oscillates between impulsive energy and poetry, tenderness and tautness. The work is a luminous take on childhood, joy, and the freedom and spontaneity of play, a glance at our complicity with our pets (here, a cat), those guardians of our most intimate secrets. The Treasure reveals the grandeur of little beings. Premiere : as part of Place des Arts Junior Series, March 4, 2020. This creation was made possible thanks to the support of Place des Arts de Montréal and its Foundation.
